The need for developing and enhancing skills is ongoing, and the approach to developing people has evolved over the years. That’s why, at Rotoplastyc, formal training has made way for methods that encourage knowledge- sharing and experience exchange. According to Carla Goergen, HR Manager, it is essential to foster a learning culture. “Today, every employee is a learner, and leaders have the role of encouraging a culture of learning. This happens when we’rediscussing a topic with acolleague, when we’rereading a book, and in other ways. The important thing isto understand how each team and individual learns and to provide diverse ways to grow, encouraging exchange and collaboration. Today, it is essential to encourage employee autonomy and ownership so that each person can identify what they need to improve and the best way to do it”, says Carla, who coordinates the learning and training process within the company.
Employee development is a core focus for the company and one of the pillars of its strategic planning. “Rotoplastyc firmly believes in development, which is why we encourage informal learning opportunities through leadership meetings and other knowledge-sharing moments, giving space for employees to takeownership of their journeys. We’re transforming corporate education by identifying new learning paths, moving away from command and control, attendance lists, and the idea of establishing what each professional should do and when to do it”, she adds.
In recent years, the company has been consistently investing in the development of leadership, operators, and assemblers, team development, and supporting undergraduate and postgraduate studies. Beyond development, the People Management area also focuses on recognition and engagement strategies. In the past two years, over BRL 800,000 has been invested in these initiatives.
“We’re breaking away from outdated ideas and creating space for people to take ownership of their development by promoting reflection, active listening, and collaboration. We seek what makes sense for each employee, and this leads to better outcomes for everyone, including our clients, who receive products with greater quality and precision, thanks to a motivated and qualified team”, the HR Manager concludes.
