In this blog post, you will learn more about this global event—how it began, its significance to the industry, and what it was like to host participants here at Rotoplastyc. Check it out!
What Is Rototour?
Organized by the Association of Rotational Molders Australasia (ARMA), Rototour brings together professionals from around the world to visit companies and discuss key industry trends.
The first official gathering was held in 1999, with participation from Australia, New Zealand, and Asia. In 2002, the tours became international, with the first overseas edition taking place in Paris.
From 2005 onward, the program adopted a global strategy, with countries from all over the world joining the event in China. Since then, Rototour has continued to create new opportunities and foster connections for professionals in the rotomolding industry.
A tour to expand knowledge and connections
During the tour, members visit factories, share insights on production processes, and have the chance to build relationships with other industry professionals.
Rototour events go beyond technical aspects. A large part of the program’s success lies in its balanced combination of business and leisure. As they visit different cities and companies, participants form long-lasting bonds, not only professionally but personally as well.
The exchange of ideas, collaboration on international projects, and even licensing agreements often stem from the connections made during the tour. Cultural experiences are also a key highlight, with social activities that allow participants to explore local cities, sample regional cuisine, and visit iconic landmarks.
The final stop of the tour is Chicago, USA, where Rotoplas 2024 takes place—one of the world’s largest events for the rotomolding industry.
The importance of the ARMA Association
Rototour is organized by ARMA, an institution that has represented the interests of the rotomolding industry since 1976. Today, ARMA spans a vast geographical territory, including nations across the Pacific region.
Over the years, ARMA has emerged as a leading voice for rotomolded product manufacturers, promoting technical development and facilitating knowledge exchange among professionals worldwide.
The visit to Rotoplastyc: innovation and global connections
One of the highlights of the event was the visit to our headquarters. On the 18th, we welcomed 22 representatives from different parts of the world. During this stop, we presented the technological innovations and rotomolded solutions developed for various market segments.
Our leadership team welcomed the guests and shared the story of our company. After the conversation, they took a guided tour of the facilities, getting a close look at the company’s manufacturing plant and the advanced rotomolding methods used.
Michelle Rose, the organizer of Roto Tour who accompanied the group, shared: “It’s hard to put into words the value of events like Roto Tour. The relationships built, the insights and tips exchanged between companies—and that each one can implement—are priceless. I’ve witnessed companies grow and evolve based on what they’ve learned from one another and from the host companies.”
Those who were present got a close look at our work
Among the highlights, we showcased technical parts for industrial applications and new developments for the agricultural sector, including liquid storage tanks and mixing system lines.
The visit provided an in- depth view of our strategies to increase production efficiency and reduce environmental impact, topics that are at the forefront of global industry concerns.
A milestone in Rotoplastyc’s history
For us, this moment reinforced the importance of global connections. Welcoming international visitors is an opportunity to expand commercial horizons and establish new partnerships.
Our director, Nelson Formentini, celebrated the visit, stating: “For Rotoplastyc, welcoming this select group from ARMA to our company is a great honor. Throughout our 25 years, we have always strived to evolve and deliver the best to our clients. Being able to share our experience and learn from such renowned global companies is truly rewarding.”
